‘The first ever Dutch written and performed opera, with music by Johan Schenk. With minimal resources Marc Krone profiled the feuds between the gods.’

Without food and wine love cannot exist’
‘After three hundred years the opera Ceres, Bacchus and Venus is once again on stage. In the role of Govert Bidloo, director Marc Krone presents the spectacle in an, as yet, indefinite version. In contemporary dress and with a popular image he sweeps the audience along with his fantasies. Both Marc Krone as the director and Freija Wouters as the costume designer, deserve special merit. Both made a huge contribution to the performance’s vivacity and representation.’
